The bell rins as HBK and Aries shake hands and step away from eachother showing a sign of respect. They then lock up in the middle of the ring and fight for the advantage. HBK gets the first advantage, but Aries manages to wriggle out of his grip and grab hold of HBK's head. HBK pushes Aries off him and he bounces against the ropes, Shawn catches him with a lous thez press, he hits him with lefts and rights and Aries rolls out of the ring. HBK and Austin stare at eachother for a while as the countout reaches 3. Aries rolls back into the ring and they lock up in the middle of the ring once more. This time Aries gets the advantage, he grips hold of HBK's head and pulls down as fast as he can, Shawn's head hits the mat with impact.
Aries lifts HBK to his feet and grabs hold of him again, but HBK pushes him away this time and catches him with an atomic drop. HBK then runs against the ropes as Aries jumps to his feet. HBK goes for a flying clothesline, but Aries moves out of the way and HBK goes flying over the ropes to the outside. HBK lands on the outside and drops to the floor. Aries rolls out of the ring to check if he's ok. HBK is fine and jumps to his feet. Aries looks on in Amazement at his mentor as they lock up once again on the outside, HBK gets the advantage and tosses Aries into the ring . Aries and HBK struggle for momentum for a while, until HBK manages to hit a superplex on Aries from the top corner to the outside. Both men land on the outside with an impact, they both struggle to their feet. HBK rolls aries into the ring, but Aries manages to get up and throws HBK back outside. He then runs out and hits HBK with a brainbuster on the concrete!
HBK is out cold, Aries jumps to the top rope and hits his 450 splash, but HBK manages to roll out of the way and Aries makes impact with the floor. Both men are knocked out on the outside as the referee counts them out.

Aries gets to his feet and goes for the ropes, when Jericho jumps out from the crowd and tackles him, then locks him into the Lionsault as the ref continues his count.

Just as the ref is about to count to 9,HBK jumps to his feet and hits Jericho with an arena shaking superkick, then falls back to the floor. As the refs count reaches 10, all 3 men lay outside the ring causing the match to end in a count out!
The match ends by double count out, what could this possibly mean for the title at Destruction?!

{The two men are standing outside the ring unsure of their futures for the title, but their questions are soon to be answered as they notice Eric Bischoff standing at the top of the ramp with a mic.}
Eric Bischoff: Well, well, well. Look what we have here, the two D-Generation X partners are even and their match ended in a draw. You know, on a normal day, I'd throw this match out and we would redo it.... But, we aren't sure where Hulk Hogan has been tonight so there's going to be two spots that need to be filled instead of just one which means that you, Shawn Michaels, are in the match... {He hesitates a bit as Aries seems a bit frustrated that he hasn't said he's in the match, but HBK seems relieved.} Oh, and you too, Aries. I'll see you all later.
